Josh Snider

Josh Snider is a highly experienced audio engineer and audio equipment technician with over 25 years in sound production, music production, and electronics. His career began at the age of 15 in theatre and concert touring, where he gained invaluable hands-on experience and developed a lifelong passion for the industry.
After graduating with honours from the Toronto Film School’s Sound Technology program, Josh built a diverse career spanning touring and live sound, location recording, and film post-production. He has taught music and audio production for many years, both privately in his own studio and in a corporate setting with Apple Inc., where he spent more than a decade providing software training and enterprise-level technical support.
As an audio equipment and systems technician, Josh is known for the quality of his service work, his innovative problem-solving, and his willingness to take on the “weird and wonderful” challenges his clients bring him. He has serviced, designed, and built equipment for top touring artists such as Metric, Arkells, and Shawn Mendes, as well as for renowned studios including Lacquer Channel, Union Sound Co., and Waterloo’s world-class Rupert St. Sound.
In addition to running a busy workshop, Josh also operates his own studio in Kitchener, Equilibrium Audio Group, where he mentors and teaches teens interested in pursuing audio-related careers. He is passionate about bringing his experience and expertise to the Instrumental team.
