Adrian Jones is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist, performer, teacher, and singer-songwriter. He studied guitar under Bruce French and Lynne Gangbar, and voice with Bel Canto legend Ed Johnson. Adrian also attended Wilfrid Laurier University’s Honours Music Program for two years.
His diverse projects have seen him performing alongside acts such as Ed Bickert, Blue Rodeo, The Rheostatics, Feist, Arcade Fire, Metric, Fred Eaglesmith, Lowest of the Low, Jeff Healey, Gogol Bordello, Bruce Cockburn, King Cobb Steelie, David Wilcox, The Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, Broken Social Scene, Jack Soul, and many more.
As a frontman, Adrian has released three CDs and a live DVD with the worldbeat jamband SNACK!, an EP and full-length project with duo partner Kim Regimbal, and two solo acoustic EPs. As a sideman and session player, he has appeared on over 50 albums, contributing strings of all kinds. Currently, Adrian plays steel guitar for Broadway Draws and the Moore Jones Band, and serves as frontman for Foghorn Saxhorn and the Realtors.
Since opening the Adrian Jones Music School in 1997, he has taught over 1,500 private music students. He also leads ukulele and rock band workshops in local schools and runs a successful rock band camp every summer in Elora.
